IMGA Working Group on Early Career Researchers Network
The IMGA ECR-Net is an international group of researchers in medical geology and related fields.
Our mission is to
- form an active, vibrant network,
- support career growth and professional development, and
- coordinate specific activities and opportunities for Early Career Scientists (ECRs).
The ECR-Net is led by a working group (WG), officially established by the IMGA executive committee in November 2024. The WG consists of 8 enthusiastic ECR members who work together to coordinate ECR-Net activities. To keep fresh ideas flowing, WG membership will rotate regularly – with the next election planned for late 2026.
The ECRs are typically defined as undergraduate or postgraduate students (BSc, MSc, or PhD) or scientists who have received their highest degree within the past seven years (< 7 years).
