Dr. Chenglong Yu
Chenglong Yu is an environmental geochemistry researcher who received his Ph.D. from China University of Geosciences (Beijing), China. He conducted his postdoctoral research at the State Key Laboratory of Geomicrobiology and Environmental Changes, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). He is currently affiliated with the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection, Chengdu University of Technology.
His research focuses on electron transfer processes at redox interfaces in aquifers and their environmental implications. In particular, his work elucidates the mechanisms of reactive oxygen species formation in subsurface environments and their roles in the transformation of organic contaminants as a novel natural attenuation pathway.
