Prof. Shengyan Pu
Shengyan Pu is an environmental geochemist with extensive experience in the identification, elucidation, and regulation of interfacial processes governing groundwater pollution at contaminated sites. He is currently based at the State Key Laboratory of Geohazard Prevention and Geoenvironment Protection, Chengdu University of Technology, where he leads the research team on Soil–Groundwater Contamination Mitigation and Geoenvironmental Health.
He received his PhD in Environmental Science from Nagoya University and completed the Hong Kong Scholars Program at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. With more than ten years of experience in site-scale groundwater pollution remediation, his research is devoted to the development of green and low-carbon remediation technologies. As the Chief Scientist of a National Key Research and Development Program of China, he pioneered groundwater circulation well technologies and intelligent integrated remediation equipment, and led the iterative upgrading of groundwater contamination remediation technologies and equipment in China.
