Dr. Jun Zhao
Dr. Zhao serves as a Senior Engineer at the Xi’an Center of China Geological Survey, with his main research focus on environmental geochemistry. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Geochemistry from China University of Geosciences (Beijing), followed by a Master’s degree in Geological Engineering from Jilin University, and finally a Doctoral degree in Geochemistry from the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences.
His research efforts focus on two core areas: 1) Conducting identification of environmental health risks and analysis of influencing factors in slate areas and granite areas, and putting forward recommendations for mitigating health risks; 2) Assessing the characteristics and influencing factors of environmental radon, as well as exploring the migration and transformation laws of environmental radon and related risk assessment technologies.
Dr. Zhao has presided over ten national geological survey projects and one collaborative project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Currently, he is a key member of the National GeoHealth Survey Project.
