Dr. Jie Ban

Dr. Jie Ban received her Ph.D. in Occupational and Environmental Health from Peking University in China. She works in the National Institute of Environmental Health, Chinese Center of Disease Control and Prevention (NIEH, China CDC) ever since 2013. Dr. Jie Ban’s research mainly focuses on climate change and public health fields, including identification of climate-sensitive diseases, assessment and projection on climate change related health risk. Her work involves investigating the association between human health outcomes and extreme heat, heavy precipitation events. She also projected future health risks related to non-optimal temperature, heatwaves and ozone pollution. She is interested in applying multidisciplinary approaches of epidemiology and environmental science.
