Xinbin Feng

Prof. Xinbin Feng obtained the PhD degree from the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IGCAS) in 1997. Since 2020, he has served as the Director of IGCAS. He is now serving as the associated editor of Science of Total Environment, Journal of Geochemical Exploration, Journal of Asian Earth Sciences and Acta Geochimica, as well as the editorial board member of Journal of Environmental Science, Atmospheres and Environmental Science and Technology. His research interest includes the biogeochemical cycling of heavy metals, such as mercury, cadmium, antimony and lead in the environment and their human health impacts, Hg stable isotope fractionation in the environmental compartments and utilization of Hg isotope ratios as a tool to trace the sources of Hg contamination in the environment, as well as remediation of Hg contaminated environment. He guided more than 100 postgraduate students and published more than 470 papers in peer-reviewed high quality SCI journals.
