International Conference on Atmospheric Dust (DUST 2025)

On behalf of the Organizers of the 6th International Conference on Atmospheric Dust (DUST 2025), we are inviting researchers, professionals, and students to submit abstracts for what promises to be an outstanding gathering of experts in the field of dust science research. The conference will take place in the beautiful city of Bari, Italy, from 1 to 4 of July 2025, and will showcase cutting-edge research across five thematic areas:
Conference Themes and Sessions
AM – Technological Advances in Dust Observation and Modelling
Exploring advanced methods such as remote sensing, in-situ measurements, and innovative modelling to enhance our understanding of dust properties and behavior at various scales.
DS – Regional and Specific Dust Sources
Investigating unique regional dust sources like Saharan dust, Asian dust, and volcanic ash, with a focus on their transport, characteristics, localized impacts, and roles as carriers of biological and chemical pollutants.
EC – Environmental and Climate Impacts of Dust
Addressing dust’s role in ecosystems, climate, and biogeochemical cycles, this theme highlights its chemical and physical interactions within the environment and its regulatory effects on the climate.
HE – Health Effects and Human Exposure
Focusing on the health implications of dust and particulate matter, this theme emphasizes innovative methodologies for assessing exposure, toxicity, and health-related metrics.
PT – Atmospheric Processes and Dust Transport
Exploring the dynamics of dust in the atmosphere, including dust storms, transport mechanisms, and deposition processes, using both observational and modelling approaches to capture the complete dust cycle.
The Organizers of DUST 2025 are encouraging submissions that align with these themes to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and advance research in dust science. The abstract submission deadline is 31 March 2025, and details regarding the submission process can be found on the conference website at: https://dust2025.atmodust.net/abstracts/
